Picnic Area Rules:
We at Madigan's wish for everyone who visits and wants to spend quality time outdoors with their friends and family, surrounded by the natural beauty our place has to offer, listening to and watching birds, viewing wildlife, singing along to classic deep-cuts on the playlist, enjoying a glass of fine wine, to be able to do so in a safe, family-friendly, welcoming atmosphere.
These rules are to help ensure that probability. Thank you.
First, stop into the tasting room and try our award winning wines, gratis. Next, pick out a cold bottle to take with you to the deck, and/or take something home with you.
Patrons, please feel free to bring a picnic to enjoy on our self-service, outdoor, covered deck, brand-new fall of '23. Consider bringing along your own wine glasses, although we do offer sparkly plastic cups for a nominal cost and full-sized etched "Madigan Winery" wine glasses for purchase.
Tourists and out-of-town visitors: here you'll be able to experience a unique, private, pastoral, verdant representation of the best the Driftless region has to offer. A great place to kick back, take it all in and enjoy yourselves!
Dogs are fine outside, as long as they are well behaved. Have a leash handy. A dog who barks or growls, trots toward, or bounds upon strangers, regardless of the dog's actual intent, may intimidate them, and cause them fear. Neither I nor you want that. Ask us for a water bowl for your dog!
Cheers! We'll keep the place spruced-up for your visit!
If you're looking for somewhere with greater capacity for your group, or if you're looking for a route-stop where you can chase back the gravel dust with an ice-cold brewski, please visit our friends at other wineries nearest us: Empty Nest in Waukon and Eagles Landing in Marquette. We highly recommend them both! They also serve food! And although we have not personally been to Fancy Pants in DeSoto, Wisconsin, it is another winery near our location that we've heard good things about!

- Please limit your group size to 6 or fewer.
- Be respectful of others.
- No carry-in alcoholic beverages allowed.
- Please limit your stay to a couple of hours at most.
- Please be aware that we have but one restroom - generously sized, ADA-compliant - in the tasting room entryway, which usually works out very well, with little waiting.
